Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse

May 27 enjoy an antique tractor and engine parade beginning at 4 p.m. These magnificent machines will travel the 11-mile road from the marina to the historic Fielding Garr Ranch. May 28, learn pioneer skills and games with staff and volunteers at the Fielding Garr Ranch from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activities will focus on energy and lighting. Participants should bring an empty vegetable or soup can to make their own pioneer lantern. Learn how machinery changed ranching operations with an all-day stationary engine and tractor show. Join park staff at 11 a.m. for a moderate seven-mile hike up Beacon Knob. Please bring water, sturdy shoes and sunscreen. At 5 p.m. at the visitor center, try your luck at the wetlands games show and compete for wacky prizes. For more information, please call (801) 721-9569.
